I always apply eye makeup first.
I don't put foundation on the eyelids, either. If your eyelids seem a bit oily and you find that the makeup slides of a bit try to powder them lightly first with face powder or use an eye makeup primer.
I apply the eye makeup first, then if any falls onto the face I can clean that up.
I blend the foundation on with my fingertips carefully.
Unless you are committed to wearing foundation that looks like a mask this method works well.
I feather it lightly around the eyes.
This is dependent on your foundation matching your skin tone very well. And not applying it too heavily. You can always apply a bit heavier in the places that really need it,around the nostrils,in between the eyebrows(sometimes),etc.
If you have blemishes the best thing is to cover them with some concealer on a brush and pat lightly with your fingertip.
then put concealer under your eyes. You really only need to apply the concealer most in the deepest indent of the under-eye circle. If the skin is dark around the eyes just blend some foundation lightly up to where the eye makeup is.
Then add cream blush or powder and apply powder blush. In any case a very light dusting of powder will set the foundation. If you don't want your skin to look too shiny, just powder once with a lightweight translucent and brush.
If you would like to be matte use a puff and brush of excess. What are the ups and downs of putting foundation on after you do eyeshadow, mascara, etc...?
It's best to put foundation on 1st so it won't wreck what you've already applied. So you should apply your foundation as the base and then the rest. What are the ups and downs of putting foundation on after you do eyeshadow, mascara, etc...?
kind of dumb because foundation goes all over your face
even a tad bit over your eyes so your skin is completely the same color
so if you know how to apply foundation and u do your eyes first
then youll ruin your eyeshadow and mascara
well, putting it on AFTER, you could smudge your make up causing you to have to reapply your other makeup. my personal advice: apply foundation first, then other makeup for your eyes, cheeks and lips. hope that helps you!!
never put foundation on after you apply other make-up. You always put foundation on FIRST. over eyelids, lips, and make sure its blended. You can put it on your lips and eyelids to make the make-up/lip gloss stay on better and not smudge.
