What to do with your old mascara?

Is there any way to fix your mascara. As most of you girls out there know when you keep mascara for a long time it starts to clump and get all icky. is there any way to fix that other than getting a new tube of mascara.What to do with your old mascara?
Yes there are ways to fix it, BUT you should NEVER use the same tube of mascara for more than 3 months. The risk of eye infection skyrockets after this. Your mascara is a warm and wet environment for bacteria to grow. Just get a new tube every 3 months.What to do with your old mascara?
Please get rid of it. Have your tried smelling it, does it smell rancid. If you really want to save it use a drop or two of eye make-up remover, this will loosten it up.
Bin old mascara. As someone said above me, you should change your mascara every 3 months as old mascara carries bacteria that can cause infection etc.
You can add alittle water to the tube but that isn't good for your eyes because mascara is a dark, warm, and moist environment and that's where bacteria grows.... you should only keep your mascara for 3 months.... after that you should throw it out...
If you take care of your mascara, you shouldn't need to do anything to it. When you go to use it DO NOT wipe the excess on a TISSUE, you'll get icky lint in your mascara. Use a paper towel. Just blot the excess, and then apply. And don't pump the mascara wand in the tube; twist it while it's inside the tube; this will keep it from drying out. I have eye allergies and am prone to pink eyes, so I don't keep mascara past 3 months.

it's guana (i.e. bat poop). why would you want to put that on your eyes?

If u get a lil bit of water in the tube and close it and shake it up then that will work.
Throw it out! Get a new one very 3 months and don't share, it could cause infections.

No throw it away. You shouldn't keep mascara but for 6 months or so then replace it because of bacteria. If you have to make it last put a drop or two of water in it. When u pull out the brush rub it over a piece of tissue and that will help against clumps.
If you plan to buy a new tube of mascara here is what you should do in the mean time before you get it. What do is wet the brush and use your fingers to get all the clumps off, then use a paper towel to dry if off or else the mix will get too liquidy. I would get a new tube of mascara soon to get rid of the risk of infection.
