Can mascara do harm to your eyelashes?

I got told some mascaras can make your eyelashes shorten and even fall off?! is this true?Can mascara do harm to your eyelashes?
Not dramatically. If you pull on them when you wear mascara then yes obviously, if it could really do much damage it wouldn't be on the markets. I've heard that after you wash your mascara off, put some vaseline on your eyelashes... it's supposed to strengthen them or something, haven't tried it but you could. if you are really worried I suggest buying an organic or mineral based mascara, it's better for your lashes.

alot of mascaras have vitamin e and such in it, just as long as you take it off every night, you should have any probs, and i only say to take it off at night cause you don't want eye infections, your eye lashes won't fall out from mascara unless it's made of cement or something lol, i think you have a better chance of losing eyelashes from an eyelash curler than from mascara. just think of it this way, almost all women wear mascara, and we all stil have our eyelashes right? :)
Only if you use a really cheap brand or if you don't wash them off at night!


Always wash off your makeup at night! Makeup that is left over night will damage your skin so much, you don't even know.

Yes, especially if you have a habit of leaving it on over night.
I don't think so.. Are you sure they weren't talking about false eye lashes?
idk.. but I always pick mine out.
