i want a smoother look and longer lashesWhat is the best way to apply foundation an mascara?
It depends what kind of foundation you are applying.
If it is a loose powder, then you are going to want to apply it with a powder brush to get the best coverage.
If it is a liquid foundation, you want to spread it evenly on your face with a wedge sponge.
for a loose powder, i recommend philosophy ';the supernatural';. it hides redness and blemishes well.
for liquid, i recommend MAC studio fix foundation, it also gives good coverage.
to apply mascara, take the wand, and position it at the bottom of your lashes (as close to the lid as you can get). Then, wiggle back and forth as you blink, repeat as many times as needed. No matter what mascara you are using, it is sure to make your lashes longer :)What is the best way to apply foundation an mascara?
with any kind of foundation you want to mainly apply it on places where you need it, if it's the right colour you shouldn't need to put it ALL over your face, because if you do it doesn't look natural
if you fancy getting some, get a peachy blush as well, and with a medium sized brush lightly brush some over the bits of your cheeks that go all round when you smile [they're called the apples of your cheeks for some reason haha], it's easier to do this when you are actually smiling because you can see where it goes... then blend this with the bigger brush that you used for the translucent powder. if you put on too much you can put a bit of the powder on top to lighten it
with liquid put a little bit on the back of your hand, and after applying moisturiser put a little bit around your nose and where there's any redness and blend it in with your skin [the moisturiser will help it blend]. then with a large brush put on some translucent powder but not too much because this is just to stop shine, too much will make your skin look flaky
with mascara, curl the lashes first [use a plastic curler if you don't do it much, it's easier and less harsh on the lashes, you can buy them most places for about £3], but make sure there's no mascara left over because this will make your lashes bend instead of curling. then if possible use a lengthening mascara on the top lashes first, in upward motions, and once this is completely dry use a volumising one [the new pink rimmel one is so good but really cheap], by putting it at the base of the lashes and moving it upwards whilst zigzagging your hand to make sure all the lashes are covered. then wait until this is COMPLETELY dry if you're gonna put any more coats on or it'll clump. then put a bit on the bottom lashes if you want to, but do it lightly and gently or they'll look spidery
good luckkkk x
